The Factory Bar & Grill is has closed its doors for good, according to a Connecticut Post report released last week, shutting down the Main Street eatery without much fanfare. The doors are currently locked, the restaurant’s number is no longer in service and its social media accounts have gone quiet.
The reported closure comes just months after they opened up in June. It comes on the heels of several other prominent restaurant closures in downtown Stamford.
The Connecticut Post report cites Michael Marchetti, a neighboring restaurant owner and president of the Stamford Tables downtown restaurant association.
“All appearances are that they have closed,” he reportedly said. “They were delayed in opening for a few months, and then it felt like they never really gained traction once they did open. It’s unfortunate to see another dark storefront. We were excited about having them open.”
